Fortore

The Fortore is a river which flows through the provinces of Benevento, Campobasso and Foggia in southern Italy. It has a length of 110 km. The river rises from the slopes of Monte Altieri (888 m), on the Adriatic side of the Lucan Apennines, collecting the waters of four small streams, c. 4 km from San Bartolomeo in Galdo. From there it runs in a southerly direction through a narrow and twisting valley. After 22 km, near Castelvetere in Val Fortore, it exits from the province of Benevento.

Biferno

The Biferno is a river of Molise, in southern Italy. Its source is in the comune of Bojano and during the first few kilometres of its course it receives the waters of numerous streams which flow from the Matese mountains. It runs through several comuni in the province of Campobasso, forming the Lake of Guardialfiera and finally flows into the Adriatic Sea.

Termoli railway station

Termoli railway station (Italian: Stazione di Termoli) serves the town and comune of Termoli, in the region of Molise, southern Italy. Opened in 1864, it forms part of the Adriatic Railway (Ancona–Lecce) and is also a terminus for the Campobasso–Termoli railway, which forms part of a longer railway, the Termoli–Vairano railway, linking the comuni of Molise with both the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian seas. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).

Termoli Cathedral

Termoli Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Termoli; Cattedrale di Santa Maria della Purificazione) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Termoli, in the province of Campobasso, central Italy. The dedication is to the Purification of the Virgin Mary, but is commonly ascribed to Saints Bassus and Timothy, patrons of the city. It is the seat of the Bishop of Termoli-Larino.

Sterparone Airfield

Sterparone Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Italy, which was located approximately 10 km south-southeast of Torre Maggiore on the Foggia plain; 130 km northeast of Naples. Sterparone was a heavy strategic bomber airfield used by the 483d Bombardment Group between 22 April 1944 and 25 September 1944 flying B-17 Flying Fortresses.
