Battle of Faenza

For the 6th century battle near Faenza, see Battle of Faventia. The Battle of Faenza or Battle of Castel Bolognese on 3 or 4 February 1797 saw a 7,000-man force from the Papal States commanded by Michelangelo Alessandro Colli-Marchi face a 9,000-strong French corps under Claude Victor-Perrin. The veteran French troops decisively defeated the Papal army, inflicting disproportionate casualties.

Faenza railway station

Faenza railway station (Italian: Stazione di Faenza) serves the city and comune of Faenza, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Opened in 1893, it forms part of the Bologna–Ancona railway, and is also a terminus of two secondary railways, linking Faenza with Ravenna and Florence, respectively. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni.

2006 San Marino Grand Prix

The 2006 San Marino Grand Prix (formally the XXVI Gran Premio Foster's di San Marino) was a Formula One motor race held at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy on 23 April 2006. The race, contested over 62 laps, was the fourth round of the 2006 Formula One season, and the 26th running of the San Marino Grand Prix. It was won by Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher, who had started from pole position.
