Burgruine Straßfried is a castle in Carinthia, Austria. It is located next to the Austrian-Italian border by Arnoldstein in Carinthia. The name of the castle means Ruins of Castle Strasbourg and draws attention to its location and its earlier strategic importance. Slizza

The Slizza or Gailitz is an Alpine torrent in Italy and Austria, a right tributary of the Gail river. Its source is below the Sella Nevea pass of the Julian Alps, where it is known as the Rio del Lago. Its valley leads to the north-west towards the town of Tarvisio, where it enters the Val Canale and its waters are swelled by a number of tributaries.

Bela Peč Castle

Bela Peč Castle (Slovene: Grad Bela peč, "White Cliff Castle;" German: Schloss Weissenfels, Italian: Castello Fusine) is a castle ruin above the settlement of Bela Peč, near Rateče in the extreme northwest corner of Slovenia. The ruins are located almost exactly on the tripoint between Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, lying just barely on the Italian side of the border.

St. Thomas's Church, Rateče

St. Thomas's Church in Rateče, Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, is one of the oldest churches in the upper Sava Valley, confirmed by written documents and excavations as well as the church's original furnishings. The oldest written document mentioning Rateče is the Vidimus by the first Ljubljana Bishop Sigmund Lamberg, which is preserved today in the kapitelj archive of the Ljubljana archdiocesan archives.
