The synagogue occupies the top floor of a medieval house at Vicolo del Bellone 3, in the heart of the historic Jewish quarter. The Giardino Botanico di Oropa is a nature preserve and botanical garden located at an altitude of 1200 m in Oropa, a town about 12 km northwest of Biella, Piedmont, Italy. It is open daily except Mondays in the warmer months. The garden covers several acres either side of the Torrente Oropa, and is managed by the World Wide Fund for Nature for Biella, primarily as a nature preserve, but also with mountain plants from around the world.

The Sacro Monte di Oropa (literally ‘Sacred Mount of Oropa’) is a Roman Catholic devotional complex in the comune of Biella, Piedmont, northern Italy. It is one of the nine Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Construction began in 1617, near the pre-existing Sanctuary of Black Virgin of Oropa, one of the oldest in Piedmont and one of the best known in the region of the Alps.
