Cuneo railway station
Cuneo railway station, or Cuneo Altipiano railway station (Italian: Stazione di Cuneo or Stazione di Cuneo Altipiano), is the main station serving the city and comune of Cuneo, in the Piedmont region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1937, it is the junction of the Fossano–Cuneo, Savigliano–Cuneo, Cuneo–Ventimiglia and Cuneo–Mondovì railways. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). Siege of Cuneo (1691)
The Siege of Cuneo was fought on 28 June 1691 during Nine Years' War in Piedmont-Savoy, modern-day northern Italy. The siege was part of King Louis XIV’s campaign against Victor Amadeus, the Duke of Savoy, who had sided with the Grand Alliance the previous year. The siege was an attempt to gain a foothold on the Piedmont Plain, thus ensuring Marshal Catinat's army could winter east of the Alps.

Battle of Roccavione
The Battle of Roccavione was the last battle of the invasion of the territory of Asti by the Angevine troops from the Kingdom of Sicily. Charles I of Sicily was defeated, and his entire invasion failed. The battle was also the end of the Astigiani participation in the wars of the Guelphs and Ghibellines, and the end of Charles' intervention in the rest of the Italian Peninsula.
