Abbadia Alpina

Abbadia Alpina (formerly Abadia; in Piedmontese La Badìa; in Occitan L'Abaïa) is a frazione of the commune of Pinerolo in the Province of Turin in north-west Italy, located between the torrents Lemina and Cusone. At one time it belonged to a Benedictine monastery founded in 1064 by Adelaide, Countess of Turin, and suppressed in 1748. Monte Viso Tunnel

The Monte Viso Tunnel is an Alpine tunnel built during the Renaissance and located eight kilometres north of Monviso, northern Italy. Guil

The Guil is a 51.6 km long river in the Hautes-Alpes département, southeastern France. Its source is several small streams which converge in the lake Lestio, at Ristolas. It flows generally west, through the Queyras. It is a left tributary of the Durance into which it flows at Guillestre.

Valle Po

. The Valle Po is a valley of Cottian Alps in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont, northern Italy, run by the Po River before it enters the Po Valley (Pianura Padana, or Plain of the Po). It has a length of some 32 km, from Saluzzo to Crissolo, and is home to the Monviso mountain. It is bounded by the Val Pellice, Valle Varaita and the Valle del Guil.
