Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park

The Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park is a nature reserve in South Tyrol, Italy. The Rieserferner-Ahrntal is characterized by high mountains with rugged peaks and eternal ice marginal habitat and tightrope walk for animals and plants but also for humans. The Tauferer Ahrntal (Italian: Valli di Tures e Aurina) is a valley in South Tyrol, Italy. The municipalities in the valley are: Prettau, Ahrntal, Sand in Taufers and Gais. The municipality of Mühlwald is congruent with a side valley of the Tauferer Ahrntal. The river flowing through the valley is the Ahr, which flows into the Rienz near Bruneck.
