The Province of Lucca (Italian: Provincia di Lucca) is a province in the Tuscany region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Lucca. It has an area of 1,773 km², and a total population of about 400,000. There are 35 comuni in the province http://www. upinet. it/indicatore. asp?id_statistiche=6. The Province of Lucca has direct access to the Thyrrhenian sea through well known Municipalities and sea places like Torre Del Lago, Viareggio and Forte Dei Marmi.

Palazzo Pfanner

The construction of Palazzo Pfanner dates back to 1660. It was the Moriconi family, members of the Lucca merchant nobility that commissioned its building. Ruined down by bankruptcy the Moriconi family was forced in 1680 to sell the building to the Controni family, silk merchant who had risen to the nobility.
