Colle di Val d'Elsa Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Colle di Val d'Elsa; Concattedrale dei Santi Alberto e Marziale) is the cathedral of Colle di Val d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy, and a co-cathedral of the Archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino, the seat of the bishops of Colle di Val d'Elsa. Castello della Magione

The Castello della Magione (also Magione di San Giovanni al Ponte or Spedale di San Giovanni in Gerusalemme alla Magione) is a medieval castle in Poggibonsi. It is an example of a medieval "Mansio" (residence) that belonged to the Knights Templar. The castle includes the ancient church and the “spedale” (hotel) for the pilgrims in transit to Rome on the Via Francigena. The complex is near the ancient crossing of the Via Francigena over the Staggia River, near the Bonizio bridge, now destroyed.

Monteriano

Monteriano is a fictional Tuscan hill town. It was the original title and is the principal locale of E. M. Forster's 1905 novel Where Angels Fear to Tread. The author describes the town in an incomplete faux entry to Central Italy by Baedeker as follows:— Monteriano (pop. 4800). Hotels: Stella d'Italia, moderate only; Globo, dirty. *Caffè Garibaldi. Post and Telegraph office in Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, next to theatre. Photographs at Seghena's (cheaper in Florence).
