Orto Botanico delle Alpi Apuane "Pietro Pellegrini"

The Orto Botanico delle Alpi Apuane "Pietro Pellegrini" (3 hectares), also known as the Orto Botanico di Pian della Fioba, is a nature preserve and botanical garden located at 900 meters altitude in Pian della Fioba, Massa, Province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany, Italy. It is operated by the town in collaboration with the Università della Toscana. The garden was established in 1966 for the study of plants indigenous to the Apuane Alps and dedicated to botanist Pietro Pellegrini (1867–1957).

Monte Tambura

Monte Tambura is a mountain (1,891 m) in the Alpi Apuane, in Tuscany, central Italy. It is the second highest peak in the chain after Monte Pisanino. Located on the boundary between the province of Lucca and the province of Massa-Carrara, the Tambura is part of the Natural Regional Park of the Alpi Apuane.

Malaspina Castle

The Malaspina Castle is located in Massa, Italy. It crowns the top of a rocky hill and dominates the wide underlying plain and part of the Tyrrhenian coast. From the 17th century the main purpose of the castle was military and it served as a prison until 1946. The castle was subsequently restored and reopened to the public.
