Costa Concordia disaster

The Costa Concordia disaster was the partial sinking of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia when it ran aground at Isola del Giglio, Tuscany, on 13 January 2012 with the loss of 32 lives. The ship, carrying 4,252 people from all over the world, was on the first leg of a cruise around the Mediterranean Sea, starting from Civitavecchia in Lazio, when she hit a reef during an unofficial near-shore salute to the local islanders.

Yacht Club Santo Stefano

The Yacht Club Santo Stefano (YCSS) is a sport club founded in 1960. The first clubhouse was an old brig, called Spluga, moored in the harbor of Porto Santo Stefano, in Italy. This original home, over the years became the meeting place of many important people at that time attending the Argentario peninsula, including the King and Queen of Holland. Currently the site is hosted at the club house Cortesini in Porto Santo Stefano in the Province of Grosseto.

Giannutri

Giannutri is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Tuscany, Italy. It is the most southerly island of the Tuscan Archipelago and was known as Dianium by Romans and Artemisia, Αρτεμησία by Greeks. Giannutri is also a frazione of the comune of Isola del Giglio in the Province of Grosseto.

Talamone
