Ponte della Maddalena

Ponte della Maddalena is a bridge crossing the Serchio river near the town of Borgo a Mozzano in the Italian province of Lucca. One of numerous medieval bridges known as Ponte del Diavolo, the "Bridge of the Devil", it was a vital river crossing on the Via Francigena, an early medieval road to Rome for those coming from France that was an important medieval pilgrimage route.

Villa Garzoni

Villa Garzoni at Collodi is a villa just over the border of the province of Lucca,. The garden was built shortly before 1652 by the Garzoni family, relating to the site of the old castle, which stands slightly apart, closely associated with the village that nestles round it, on the edge of a clifflike slope, which had been chosen in earlier times for its defensible approach.

Pieve di Sant'Andrea (Cercina)

For the church in Pistoia, see pieve di Sant'Andrea, Pistoia The Pieve di Sant'Andrea is an 11th century rural church in Cercina, Tuscany, central Italy. Initiated in Romanesque style, it was later remade. It has a sturdy bell tower with single and double mullioned windows. The interior is on a nave, and houses fragments of 14th century frescoes (St. Anthony and one Female Saint). Other painting works include a Virgin Enthonred with Child between Sts.
