Sieve (river)

The Sieve is a river in Italy. It is a tributary of the Arno River, into which it flows at Pontassieve after a course of 62 km. The Sieve rises in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, near the Futa Pass, at 930 m of elevation. The territory in which it flows is known in Italian as Valdisieve. In Italian language, the name "Sieve" is feminine, and is therefore referred to as La Sieve.

Santa Apollonia (Pisa)

Santa Apollonia is a church in Pisa, Italy. Once called San Pietro a Schia, this church is known from documents from 1116, and a reconstruction in 1277. In 1777, the Pisan architect Mattia Tarocchi reconstructed the church in Baroque style. The interior houses the altar and stucco and mural decorations by Tarocchi, and paintings by Aurelio Lomi, Pandolfo Titi, and the 19th century painter Giuseppe Bacchini.

Santa Cristina (Pisa)

Santa Cristina is a church in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy. It is located on the Lungarno Gambacorti. The church is documented since the 9th century, but the apse area is from the 10th-11th century. Destroyed by a flood in 1115, it was rebuilt three years later. It was restored to the current appearance in 1816 by Francesco Riccetti, who was also responsible of the bell tower. The interior is on a single hall with neoclassicist decorations.

San Giovanni dei Fieri (Pisa)

San Giovanni dei Fieri is an ancient church in Pisa, Italy, located on Via Pietro Gori on the left bank of the Arno. In the 12th century it was known as San Giovannino. In 1614, the church was renovated by the architect Cosimo Pugliani. The church belonged to the Order of St John of Jerusalem, which also owned the church of Santo Sepolcro. The church currently belongs to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
