Lago Boracifero, Monterotondo Marittimo

Lago Boracifero is a village in Tuscany, central Italy, administratively a frazione of the comune of Monterotondo Marittimo, province of Grosseto, in the area of Colline Metallifere. At the time of the 2001 census its population amounted to 51. Lago Boracifero is about 72 km from Grosseto and 7 km from Monterotondo Marittimo, and it lies on the lake of the same name, known for its geysers.

Baptistery of San Giovanni (Volterra)

The Baptistery of San Giovanni an octagonal 13th century religious building standing just in front of the Duomo of Volterra, in the center of the city. It was supposedly set up in the seventh century at the site of a Roman Temple dedicated to Sun worship. Only one of the sides has been furnished with green and white marble. The Romanesque Portal has been attributed to a follower of Nicola Pisano.
