Knox College, Jamaica

Knox College is a coeducational high school in Clarendon, Jamaica for both day pupils and boarders. Founded in 1947, it occupies about 100 acres of land. The school aims to develop excellent progressive education in Jamaica. The concept for Knox was considered at the time to be "avant garde" and even today the institution is considered to be at the forefront in the development of a unique educational approach. It is currently the only coeducational boarding school in Jamaica.

Saint Ann Parish

Saint Ann is the largest parish in Jamaica. It is situated on the north coast of the island, in the county of Middlesex, roughly halfway between the eastern and western ends of the island. It is often called 'the Garden Parish of Jamaica' on account of its natural beauty. Saint Ann is the birthplace of reggae singers Floyd Lloyd, Burning Spear, Shabba Ranks, and Bob Marley. The Right Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey, one of Jamaica's seven National Heroes, was also born there.

Area code 876 is the local telephone area code of Jamaica. The 876 area code was created during a split from the original 809 area code which was done on or around the date May 1997. Area code 876 serves the country’s three mobile operators – Cable and Wireless (marketed as LIME – Landline, Internet, Mobile and Entertainment), Digicel, and Oceanic Digital (operating as MiPhone and now known as Claro since late 2008).

Frankfield railway station

Frankfield railway station was the terminus of a 21 mile railway branch line from May Pen serving the eponymous market town, 55.25 miles from the Kingston terminus. It opened in 1925 with the completion of the final 9¼ mile extension on the branch, and closed in 1974 when the branch itself closed due to a lack of maintenance. It has since been demolished.
