Middlesex County, Jamaica

Middlesex is the central of the three historic counties into which Jamaica is divided. It has no current-day administrative significance. It covers 5041.9 km² and has a population of 1,183,361 (about 45% of the islands area and population) giving it the largest area and population of the three counties. Clarendon College (Jamaica)

Clarendon College, commonly called CC, is a high school in the town of Chapelton in northern Clarendon, Jamaica. It is the oldest school in the parish and was founded on February 2, 1942 by the Rev. Lester Davy. Rev. Davy was born in 1909 and trained at The Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica. Reverent T. Hughs convinced Davy to build a school and indeed he did so. The school started with only two teachers, Rev. Davy and Mrs. Hyacinth Balford, and ten students.
