Ōi-juku
was the forty-sixth of the sixty-nine stations of the Nakasendō. It is located in the present-day city of Ena, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. From Ōi-juku to the next post town, Ōkute-juku, there are 13 hills to pass over. Travellers using the Shitakaidō (下街道) often used Ōi-juku, too, as they travelled on to Makiganetsui (槙ヶ根追) afterwards.

Ena, Gifu is a city in the Tōnō region of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. As of July 2011, the city has an estimated population of 53,378. The total area is 504.19 km². The city was originally founded on April 1, 1954, but it merged with four towns and a village from the former Ena District to form the new city of Ena on October 25, 2004. The other municipalities participating in this merger were: Akechi, Iwamura, Kamiyahagi, Kushihara, and Yamaoka.

Ōi Dam
The Ōi Dam is a dam located between the cities of Ena and Nakatsugawa in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It was built to produce electricity for the surrounding area. The Agi River flows through the damn. Built in 1924, the Ōi Dam was the first dam built anywhere on the Kiso River system. It is also the first hydroelectric dam built in Japan. At 53.4 m tall, it is the largest gravity dam in Japan after the Taishakugawa Dam in Hiroshima Prefecture.
