Ishikawa Forest Experiment Station

The Ishikawa Forest Experiment Station is an arboretum and botanical garden located at Ho-1 Banchi, Sannomiya-machi, Hakusan, Ishikawa, Japan. It is open daily; admission is free. The arboretum contains almost 800 species (15,000 trees and shrubs) in areas including an azalea garden, camellia garden, cherry trees, experimental areas, Japanese garden, playground, wetlands, etc. Collections include Acer palmatum var.

Hoshi Ryokan

Hoshi Ryokan is a ryokan (Japanese traditional inn) in the Awazu Onsen area of Komatsu, in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 717, it was the oldest hotel in the world, that was still in operation, as far as the editors of the Guinness World Records knew, until that title was given in 2011 to Nisiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Yamanashi, Japan. The hotel has been operated by the same family for forty-six generations.

Yunokuni no mori

Yunokuni no Mori (ゆのくにの森) is a crafts village in Komatsu, a city located in the southern portion of Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan. It is located near the Awazu Onsen amid a massive acreage of preserved forest. At Yunokuni no Mori one can participate in learning crafts, or purchase various Kaga area goods. Some of the goods one will find include: Wajima lacquerware, Kutani ceramics, golf leaf, Kaga Yuzen (printed silk), and Yamanaka lacquerware.
