Nishisonogi Peninsula

The Nishisonogi Peninsula (西彼杵半島 Nishi-sonogi hantō) is a peninsula in northwest Kyūshū, Japan. It is the north-northwesterly fork of a larger peninsula which also includes Nagasaki Peninsula. To its west is the East China Sea, while to the east it encloses Ōmura Bay.

Sasebo Zoological Park and Botanical Garden

The Sasebo Zoological Park and Botanical Garden is a zoo and botanical garden located at 217, Funakoshi-cho, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged. The zoo opened in 1961, and now contains about 330 animals and 21,000 plants. Its rainforest greenhouse contains tropical plants such as the royal water lily.

United States Fleet Activities Sasebo

Sasebo Station

is the major railway station in the city of Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, in Japan. The Sasebo Line of the Kyushu Railway Company and the Nishi-Kyūshū Line of the Matsuura Railway provide local and regional service and connections to the extensive JR network. Sasebo is the westernmost station in the JR Group. The daily average number of passengers using this station is about 8,500 people.
