Kunigami District, Okinawa is a district located in Okinawa, Japan. Roughly translated, kunigami means "head of the country", referring to its northern location on the island of Okinawa. Compare this to Shimajiri District, Okinawa. As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 64,670 and the density of 112.19 persons per km². The total area is 576.43 km². LORAN-C transmitter Gesashi

LORAN-C transmitter Gesashi is the Whiskey secondary station of the North West Pacific LORAN-C Chain (GRI 8930) and the X-Ray Secondary of the East Asia LORAN-C chain (GRI 9930). It uses for both chains a transmission power of 1000 kW. Baudette LORAN-C transmitter, situated near Gesashi, in Higashi-son, Okinawa, Japan at 26°36'25" N, 128°8'57" E,. Gesashi LORAN-C transmitter uses as antenna a 190.5 metre (625 ft) tall mast radiator.

Camp Schwab

Camp Schwab, nicknamed Man Camp, is a United States Marine Corps camp located in northeastern Okinawa, Japan, that is currently home to the 4th Marine Regiment and other elements of the 28,000 American servicemen based on the island in fulfilment of the 1952 commitment of the United States to defend Japan. The Camp was dedicated in 1959, in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Albert E. Schwab, who was killed in action during the Battle of Okinawa.
