Zakimi Castle

is a gusuku in Yomitan, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It is in ruins, but the walls and foundations have been restored. Built between 1416 and 1422 by the renowned Ryukyuan militarist Gosamaru, Zakimi Castle oversaw the northern portion of the Okinawan mainland. The gusuku fortress has two inner courts, each with an arched gate. This is Okinawa's first stone arch gate featuring the unique keystone masonry of the Ryukyus.

Yontan Airfield

Yontan Airfield (also known as Yomitan Auxiliary Airfield) is a former military airfield on Okinawa, located near the village of Sobe on the Okinawa western coast. It was closed in July 1996 and turned over to the Japanese government in December 2006. Today it is abandoned with a series of roads overlaid over the former airfield runways.

Okinawa Christian School International

Okinawa Christian School International (OCSI) is a private Christian school located on the island of Okinawa, Japan. OCSI was established in 1957 in order to provide an English-language K-12 education for the children of American missionaries. During the first year, Mrs. Esther Austin taught a class of 11 children in an unused building at the Far East Broadcasting Network's facility in Chatan.

Bolo Airfield

Bolo Airfield (also known as Bolo Point Airfield) is a former World War II airfield in Okinawa, at Bolo Point on the East China Sea coast. The airfield was inactivated after 1946 and returned to Japanese control in 1972. Today it has been redeveloped into a golf course and recreation area.

Torii Station

Torii Station is a United States Army facility located in Yomitan, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Home to the United States Army on Okinawa, 10th Support Group, along with the 1-1 ADA (REG), 835th Trans BN, 247th MP DET, 505th QM BN, 83rd ORD BN,35th CSSB, 1st Battalion - 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), and the 58th SIG BN provide support to all other services on island. It is the main United States Army controlled garrison in the Okinawa prefecture of Japan.
