Daikon Island
is a volcanic island in the middle of Nakaumi, a brackish lake between Tottori and Shimane prefectures in Japan. Daikon Island is administered as part of Matsue, Shimane Prefecture. Daikon-jima takes its name from the daikon, the large, white East Asian radish. The island was, however, known throughout Japanese history as "Tako-shima", meaning "Octopus Island. is a brackish lake located between Tottori and Shimane prefectures in Japan. The lake is enclosed by the Shimane Peninsula to the north and Yumigahama Peninsula to the east. It is the fifth largest lake in surface area in Japan. Matsue Station
Matsue Station is a railway station on the Sanin Main Line of West Japan Railway Company (JR West) located in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. Tickets can be purchased at the machines or in the ticket office. There is also a Nippon travel agency located just opposite the ticket gates in the station itself where transport enquiries and arrangements may also be made. It is situated on the Southern side of the Ohashi-gawa river which divides Matsue into North and South.
