Yokota Air Base

, is a United States Air Force base in the city of Fussa, one of 26 cities in the Tama Area, or Western Tokyo. The base houses 14,000 personnel. The base occupies a total area of 136,413 m and has a 3,353 m × 61 m ( ft ×  ft) runway. Among its facilities are the broadcast center for the American Forces Network Tokyo radio service and a detachment of PACAF's Band of the Pacific.

Akigawa, Tokyo

Akigawa, Tokyo was a city located in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. On April 1, 1889, the villages of Higashiakiru, Nishiakiru, Kusabana, Sugao, Sedooka and Harakomiya were established within Nishitama District, then a portion of Kanagawa Prefecture. The entire district was transferred to the administrative control of Tokyo Metropolis on April 1, 1893.
