Semey Airport

Semipalatinsk Airport (also given as Semey) is an airport in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan located 8 km south of the city. It services large airliners. The airfield contains two groups of alert fighter pads. A 400 meter overrun exists at each end of Runway 08/26. The Tupolev Tu-128 and MiG-31 were based here at various times.

Semipalatinsk Bridge

The Semipalatinsk Bridge is a gravity-anchored suspension bridge that crosses the Irtish river in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan. It has a main span of 750 meters and a total length of 1086 m. It was built between 1998 and 2001 and is currently in use by road traffic.

Semey

Semey (Kazakh: Семей / Semey), formerly known as Semipalatinsk (Russian: Семипала́тинск, until 2007) and Alash-kala, is a city in Kazakhstan, in the northeastern province of East Kazakhstan, near the border with Siberia, around 1,000 kilometres north of Almaty, and 700 kilometres southeast of the Russian city of Omsk, along the Irtysh River. Population: 299,264 (2009 Census results);269,574 (1999 Census results).
