Kaimosi Friends Primary School

Kaimosi Friends Primary School, is the oldest formal school in Kenya. It is located in Kaimosi in Western Province. The school was established in 1903 as Friends Africa Industrial Mission by the Quaker Missionaries of the United States of America, who left South Africa to spread Quaker mission activities in East Africa. In 1904 the school became known as Kaimosi Friends Elementary School and diversified learning programs to include reading, writing, carpentry and dressmaking.

Kakamega Forest

Kakamega Forest is a tropical rain forest situated in the Western Province, of Kenya, North West of the capital Nairobi, and near to the border with Uganda. It is Kenya's only tropical rainforest and is said to be Kenya's last remnant of the ancient Guineo-Congolian rainforest that once spanned the continent.
