Andavadoaka

Andavadoaka is a small fishing village located on the southwest coast of Madagascar. It is located in the Morombe District of the Southwest Region, 45 km south of the town of Morombe. The village lies on the edge of a shallow lagoon protected from the open ocean by a series of fringing and submerged barrier reefs that support substantial coral growth, providing a vital resource base for a local artisanal fishery.

Sepia bathyalis

Sepia bathyalis is a species of cuttlefish native to the southwestern Indian Ocean, specifically northwestern and southwestern Madagascar. It lives at a depth of between 300 and 500 m. S. bathyalis grows to a mantle length of 80 mm. The type specimen was collected near Madagascar . It is deposited at the Zoological Museum in Moscow.
