Borneo Convention Centre Kuching

The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching or (BCCK) is located in Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia. It is the first dedicated convention and exhibition centre in Borneo. Located 8 km from the city centre, it aims to organise and attract local and international concerts, events, exhibitions and conventions to Sarawak. BCCK is managed by Borneo Isthmus Development Sdn Bhd, which is a Sarawak state-owned company. It oversees all operational aspects of BCCK.

Bako National Park

Bako National Park, established in 1957, is the oldest national park in Sarawak, eastern Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. It covers an area of 27.27 square kilometres at the tip of the Muara Tebas peninsula at the mouth of the Bako and Kuching Rivers. It is approximately 40 kilometres by road from Kuching. Millions of years of erosion of the sandstone have created a coastline of steep cliffs, rocky headlands and stretches of white, sandy bays.

Strobilomyces foveatus

Strobilomyces foveatus is a little-known species of fungus in the Boletaceae family. It was first reported by mycologist E.J.H. Corner in 1972, from specimens he collected in Malaysia in 1959, and has since been found in Australia. Fruit bodies are characterized by the small dark brown to black conical scales covering the cap, and the net-like pattern of ridges on the upper stem. The roughly spherical spores measure about eight micrometres, and are densely covered with slender conical spines.

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (English: University of Malaysia, Sarawak) or UNIMAS was officially incorporated on 24 December 1992. UNIMAS is Malaysia's eighth University, established just after the declaration of Vision 2020. Recently, UNIMAS has been ranked at 165th in Asian University Rankings 2011 by QS World University Rankings®. The University took in its first students numbering 118 in 1993 with the opening of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Resource Science and Technology.
