Kōgaṇṇu

Kōgaṇṇu is the oldest cemetery in the Maldives. Kōgaṇṇu cemetery is located in the island of Meedhoo in Addu Atoll. The cemetery was built about 900 years ago for the purpose of burying the first Muslims of Addu Atoll. It is the cemetery with the largest area in the Maldives. The largest tombstone in the country is also found in this cemetery. It is believed that this tombstone dates back to the 18th century and belongs to one of the royals of the Maldives.

RAF Gan

Royal Air Force Station Gan commonly known as RAF Gan, is a former Royal Air Force station on Gan Island, the southern-most island of Addu Atoll which is part of the larger groups of islands which form the Maldives, in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The airfield is now Gan International Airport.

Gan International Airport

Gan International Airport is located on the island of Gan in Addu Atoll (also known as Seenu Atoll) in the Maldives. First built by the Royal Navy, and transferred to the Royal Air Force as RAF Gan, it was a military airbase used during World War II and until 1976. The British handed it over to the government and it was used as a domestic airport.
