Bahía Ballenas Airstrip is a dirt airstrip located in Campo René, Municipality of Mulegé, Baja California Sur, Mexico, a camp located on the Ballenas Bay, on the Pacific Ocean coast, just on the entrance of Estero "El Coyote", to the East of Punta Abreojos. Punta Abreojos Airfield is integrated by a pair of dirt airstrips located in Punta Abreojos, Municipality of Mulegé, Baja California Sur, Mexico, a fishing town located on the Pacific Ocean coast. The airstrip is used solely for general aviation purposes, specially for medical and touristic (fishing and surfing) activities.

Punta Abreojos

Punta Abreojos is a fishing town in Mulegé Municipality, Baja California Sur, Mexico. It is located at the entrance to Laguna San Ignacio, a Biosphere Reserve which is frequently visited by pods of grey whales. An isolated hill, 95 metres high, rises a few miles behind the town, and is a conspicuous landmark for sailors. Several lighthouses are situated near the town. Punta Abreojos was named by Francisco de Bolaños, whose expedition reached the headland, but no further.
