Chiapa de Corzo (Mesoamerican site)

Chiapa de Corzo is an archaeological site of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, located in the Central Depression of Chiapas of present-day Mexico. It rose to prominence during the Middle Formative period, becoming a regional center or capital that controlled trade along the Grijalva River. By then, its public precinct had reached 18-20 ha in size, with total settlement approaching 70 ha.

Museo de la Laca and the Santo Domingo monastery

The former monastery of Santo Domingo/Museo de la Laca is located in the city of Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico. The monastery with its church was built in the 16th century, with the monastery secularized later. The church retains its original function. The building with two courtyards was restored between 1999 and 2002 to become a community and cultural center, with the Museo de la Laca, founded in 1952, moved inside to take up much of the upper floor.

Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna

The Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna is a football stadium located in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, México. This facility has a capacity of 31,500 seats and was built in 2003. This sport facility is used mostly for football matches and is the home of football club Jaguares de Chiapas (Jaguars). It has been used since 2003 by Jaguares de Chiapas. It also hosted the final of La Academia Última Generación.

Zinacantán

San Lorenzo Zinacantán is a municipio (municipality) in the southern part of the Central Chiapas highlands in the Mexican state of Chiapas. About 98% of its population are Tzotzil Maya, an indigenous people with linguistic and cultural ties to other highland Maya peoples. Zinacantán literally means "land of bats" and comes from the Nahuatl language. People in Zinacantán speak Tzotzil and they call their own land "Sots'leb", that is, "land of bats" in their own language.

Regional Museum of Anthropology and History of Chiapas

The Regional Museum of Anthropology and History of Chiapas (Museo Regional de Antropología e Historia de Chiapas) is the largest museum in Tuxtla Gutiérrez in Chiapas and one of the most important of its kind in Mexico. It primarily consists of two main halls with one dedicated to the state’s Mesoamerican archeology and the other to the history of the state starting from the Spanish conquest.
