Ixtlahuacán is a municipality in the Mexican state of Colima. The municipal seat lies at Ixtlahuacán. The municipality covers an area of 468.7 km². Villa de Álvarez, Colima

Ciudad de Villa de Álvarez is a city in the Mexican state of Colima. It is the municipal seat of Villa de Álvarez municipality. The city is adjacent to the northwest side of the state capital city of Colima and the two can be considered as "twin cities", with Ciudad de Villa de Álvarez having a 2005 census population of 97,701 and Colima having a population of 123,597.

University of Colima

The University of Colima is a Mexican public university with several campuses across the state of Colima, bordering the Pacific Ocean. It was created on September 16, 1940 by the President Lázaro Cárdenas as People's University of Colima (Universidad Popular de Colima), and intended to serve the educational needs of the Michoacán, Jalisco, and Colima. The University's library system holds over 93,127 volumes.

Colima, officially Free and Sovereign State of Colima (Spanish: Estado Libre y Soberano de Colima), is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, make up the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It shares its name with its capital and main city, Colima. Colima is a small state located in the Western Mexico region on Mexico’s central Pacific coast. It shares borders with the states of Jalisco and Michoacán.
