The 2011 Zumpango earthquake was a magnitude 6.5 Mw earthquake that affected several major cities in southern Mexico at 19:47 local time on Saturday, 10 December 2011. Its epicenter was located in the city Zumpango, Guerrero, roughly equidistant between the metropolitan areas of Mexico City and Acapulco. The quake was felt in Guerrero, Michoacán, Mexico State, Mexico City and Puebla.
