Brizuela, Jalisco

Atemajac de Brizuela is a small town in the southeast sierra of Jalisco, Mexico, 64 km southwest of Guadalajara, between Highways 80 and 401. Its population as of 1990 was 3,790. The town received some notice in July 2008 in the nationally syndicated American comic strip Gil Thorp as the place to which Milford High baseball player - and illegal immigrant - Elmer Vargas is deported.

Cocula (Nahuatl: Cocollán "ondulated place") is a town and municipality in the Mexican state of Jalisco. It is located 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Guadalajara, on Mexico Highway 80.
