Degollado

Degollado is a small city and Municipality in the eastern highlands of the Mexican State of Jalisco. The municipality encompasses Huascato, Los Ranchitos, La Vibora, Buenos Aires, Las Limas, Altamira, La Chancla and El Corral de Piedra. In Spanish, the word "degollado" means "to slit one's throat", "behead", or "decapitate". It is also a last name. In this case, the town was named after a Mexican general, Santos Degollado.

Arandas, Jalisco

Arandas is a municipality of the Altos Sur region of the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Arandas is also the name of the municipality's main township and the center of the municipal government. It is approximately 2 hours east of Guadalajara. The population of the town of Arandas was 46,099 as of the census of 2005. The town's main plaza is named Plaza Hidalgo after Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, father of Mexico's war of independence.

La Piedad

La Piedad de Cavadas is a city and its surrounding municipality (La Piedad municipality) located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:20|20|N|102|01|W||| |primary |name= }} in the north-west of the Mexican state of Michoacán, bordering Jalisco and Guanajuato. The original colonial name was San Sebastián. It is bordered by the town of Santa Ana Pacueco, Guanajuato. Both towns straddle the Lerma river.
