Estadio Omnilife
Omnilife Stadium, formerly known as Chivas Stadium, is the 4th largest stadium in Mexico. It is part of the J.V.C. complex, and is a multi-use venue that is used mostly for football matches including home matches for Club Deportivo Guadalajara, commonly known as the "Chivas". The stadium has a seating capacity of 49,850. Construction started in February 2004, but due to financial problems and other issues, the stadium's completion was delayed for a number of years.

2008 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships
The 2008 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Guadalajara, Mexico from October 31 to November 1, 2008. It was the first edition of the Youth World Championships which had taken over from the Junior World Championship. The competition is under the supervision of the world's governing body for amateur boxing AIBA and is the junior version of the World Amateur Boxing Championships.
