Paracho

Paracho de Verduzco (often called merely Paracho) is a small city located in Michoacán, Mexico. Located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:19|39|0|N|102|4|0|W| | |name= }}, about 100 kilometers (60 mi) west of state capital Morelia, it serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of Paracho. Cherán

The municipio of Cherán is located in the Mexican state of Michoacán, which is situated in the central western portion of the Republic of Mexico and extends to the Pacific Shore. Cherán, itself, lies in the northwestern portion of Michoacán about 200 miles due west of Mexico City and approximately 123 km west of the state capital of Morelia; it is about 2400 meters (7874 feet) above sea level.

XEPUR-AM

XEPUR-AM (La Voz de los Purépechas; English: The Voice of the Purepechas) is an indigenous community radio station that broadcasts in Spanish and Purepecha from Cherán in the Mexican state of Michoacán. It is run by the Cultural Indigenist Broadcasting System (SRCI) of the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI). Charapan

Charapan is a municipality located in the north-western part of the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality has an area of 233.16 square kilometres (0.17% of the surface of the state) and is bordered to the north by the municipalities of Tangancícuaro and Chilchota, to the east by Paracho, to the south by Uruapan, and to the west by Los Reyes. The municipality had a population of 10,867 inhabitants according to the 2005 census. Its municipal seat is the city of the same name.

Parícutin

Parícutin (or Volcán de Parícutin, also accented Paricutín) is a cinder cone volcano in the Mexican state of Michoacán, close to a lava-covered village of the same name. The volcano is unique in the fact that its evolution from creation to extinction was witnessed, observed and studied by human beings. It appears on many versions of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Parícutin is part of the Michoacán-Guanajuato volcanic field, which covers much of west central Mexico.
