Laredo Columbia Solidarity Port of Entry
The Laredo Columbia Solidarity Port of Entry is located at the Colombia – Solidarity International Bridge (sometimes referred to as "Bridge III"). It is the only port of entry from the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. It was built in 1991 in an effort to relieve traffic from the congested downtown Laredo bridges.

Santo Tomás, Texas
Santo Tomás was a coal-mining town near Laredo in west central Webb County, Texas, United States. The town was founded in 1801 by Antonio Gonzales and was named in honor of Saint Thomas. During the colonial era the land was used primarily for ranching. Pure quality cannel coal was found and extracted in 1873. In June 1882, the narrow-gauge Rio Grande and Pecos Railroad was built to transport the coal. By 1900, the town grew and had a population of approximately 1,000.

KGNS-TV is the NBC-affiliated television station for Laredo, Texas and the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 8 from a transmitter near the Pinto Valle Industrial Park (to the immediate north of the United States-Mexico border), northwest of Laredo. Owned by SagamoreHill Broadcasting, it maintains studios on West Del Mar Boulevard and Springfield Avenue in northern Laredo.
