Cerro de Chipinque

Being part of the Sierra Madre Oriental, El Cerro de Chipinque, also known coloquially as "The M" ('La M, La Eme) is a figure located on top of the mountain chain, in the state of Nuevo León, México. The rock figure is visible from various parts of the city of Monterrey, including neighbouring cities, like San Nicolás de los Garza or Guadalupe and San Pedro Garza García, which is the municipality established on the base of the mountain.

Cerro de la Silla

Cerro de la Silla (English: Saddle Hill), named for its distinctive saddle-shaped profile when viewed from the west, is a famous symbol of the landscape of the state of Nuevo León, Mexico. Even though the mountain itself is located in the adjacent city of Guadalupe, it is widely associated to the city of Monterrey, Mexico. It covers an area of 60.5 square kilometres (23 mi²).

La Huasteca (climbing area)

La Huasteca is the first climbing area in Monterrey, Mexico, only 15 minutes from the city. With nearly 200 bolted routes with grades from 5.8 to 5.13C, it is the favorite place for weekend climbers. It is also known for the slippery type of limestone from which it is comprised, and which makes climbing seem more difficult than at other areas, such as Potrero Chico. There are no entrance fees for most of the climbing areas.
