Bernal, Querétaro

San Sebastián Bernal, better known as Bernal, is a colonial village in the Mexican state of Querétaro. It was founded in 1642 by Spanish soldier Alonso Cabrera. Bernal is located 40 minutes by road from state capital Santiago de Querétaro and two and a half hours from Mexico City. It is located in Ezequiel Montes municipality, a few minutes from Colón and Cadereyta. It has a current population of 2909. 1377 are males and 1532 are females.

Peña de Bernal

Peña de Bernal At 350 m (1150 ft) it is the third tallest (3rd) monolith in the world, after the Rock of Gibraltar and Sugarloaf Mountain. (Mount Augustus, in Western Australia, is sometimes credited to be the world's largest monolith. However, the claim does not originate from the geological literature, nor is substantiated by any other scholarly research. ) Peña de Bernal is located in San Sebastián Bernal, a small town in the Mexican state of Querétaro.

Ezequiel Montes, Querétaro

Ezequiel Montes is a municipality in the Mexican state of Querétaro. Its seat is the town of the same name, founded in 1861 by Julián Velázquez Feregrino. Its original name was Corral Blanco. The municipality was created in 1940, including the nearby towns of Bernal and Villa Progreso. As such, the municipality contains Saint Michael's temple, which was built from the 16th to the 18th centuries by the indigenous Otomies who lived in Querétaro and Jilotepec.

Ing. Fernando Espinoza Gutiérrez International Airport

Ing. Fernando Espinoza Gutiérrez Airport is located in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico. Due to the construction of the new Querétaro International Airport in 2004, the airport is no longer used. The buildings and land that formed the airport are now government buildings, and were donated to the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
