Cozumel

Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, opposite Playa del Carmen, and close to the Yucatán Channel. Cozumel is one of the ten municipalities of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Cozumel is a tourist destination for its balnearios, scuba diving, and snorkeling. The main town on the island is San Miguel de Cozumel.

San Miguel de Cozumel

San Miguel de Cozumel is the largest town on the island municipality of Cozumel in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. With a 2010 census population of 77,236 persons, it is also Quintana Roo's fourth-largest community, after Cancún, Chetumal, and Playa del Carmen. It is a hub for tourism on the Riviera Maya, providing the sole ferries between the Mexican mainland and the island.

Cozumel International Airport

Cozumel International Airport is an international airport in the island of Cozumel, Quintana Roo, located at the Caribbean coast near Cancún. It handles national and international air traffic of the city of San Miguel, Cozumel, receiving thousands of tourists all year. As with the other nine airports in the Mexican southeast region, Cozumel International Airport is operated by the "Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste" (ASUR) Airport Group. In 2003, the terminal was renovated and expanded.

Xcaret

Xcaret is a Maya civilization archaeological site located on the Caribbean coastline of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the modern-day state of Quintana Roo in Mexico. The site was occupied by the pre-Columbian Maya and functioned as a port for navigation and an important Maya trading center. Some of the site's original structures are contained within a modern-day tourism development, the privately owned Xcaret Eco Park.

Xcaret Park

Xcaret Park (Spanish: el parque Xcaret) is a privately owned and operated theme park, resort and self-described ecotourism development located in the Riviera Maya, a portion of the Caribbean coastline of Mexico's state of Quintana Roo that has been designated as a zone for tourism development. It is situated approximately 75 kilometres south of Cancún, and 6.5 kilometres south of the nearest large settlement Playa del Carmen along Highway 307.
