Etchojoa is both a municipality and the name of the town that acts as the seat of that municipality. Founded in 1613, Etchojoa is located in the southwest of the Mexican state of Sonora. XEETCH-AM

XEETCH (La Voz de los Tres Ríos – "The Voice of the Three Rivers") is an indigenous community radio station that broadcasts in Spanish, Mayo, Yaqui and Guarijio from Etchojoa in the Mexican state of Sonora. It is run by the Cultural Indigenist Broadcasting System (SRCI) of the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI). Huatabampo

Huatabampo is a city and municipality in the state of Sonora, in northwestern Mexico. It is situated on the Gulf of California, near the mouth of the Mayo River. It is located at latitude {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:26|49|N|109|40|W||| | |name= }}. Huatabampo is 34 km southwest of Navojoa via Sonora State Highway 56 and Sonora State Highway 149. Mexican Federal Highway 15 can be accessed via Sonora State Highway 176. The area of the municipality (urban and rural) is 1,169.92 km.

Huivulai

Huivulai ("Long neck" in the Mayo language) is an island located five kilometers off the coast of the Mexican state of Sonora in the Sea of Cortés. The island is part of the municipio of Benito Juárez and is located 45 kilometers south of Ciudad Obregón. Huivulai island is 17 kilometers long by 1.2 kilometers wide. One of the main attractions of the island is its high dunes where 4x4 fans can race. In this island, the movie Todo por nada (1964) was filmed.
