Olmec heartland
The Olmec heartland is the southern portion of Mexico's Gulf Coast region between the Tuxtla mountains and the Olmec archaeological site of La Venta, extending roughly 80 km (50 mi) inland from the Gulf of Mexico coastline at its deepest. It is today, as it was during the height of the Olmec civilization, a tropical lowland forest environment, crossed by meandering rivers.

Hidalgotitlán is a town in the Mexican state of Veracruz, with a population of near 18,000 in 2000. Its name derives from two words: one Spanish and the other indigenous. The first part is the family name Hidalgo (after the father of the modern Mexican nation, Miguel Hidalgo) and the second part is -tlan, a Nahuatl suffix that means "place". The settlement stands on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, on the left bank of the River Coatzacoalcos.

Parque 18 de marzo de 1938 is a stadium in Minatitlán, Veracruz. It is the home field of the Petroleros de Minatitlán (Minatitlán Oilers) Mexican League baseball team as well as the Gavilanes de Minatitlán (Minatitlán Hawks) who play in the Veracruz Winter League. It holds 7,500 people. It is named to commemorate the day when President of Mexico Lázaro Cárdenas announced that the oil industry in Mexico would be nationalized.
