Agua Dulce, Veracruz

Agua Dulce is a municipality in Veracruz, Mexico. It is located about 330 kilometres southeast from the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of 259.25 square kilometres . The municipality of Agua Dulce is delimited to the east by the State of Tabasco, to the south by the El Pesquero River, to the west by the Coatzacoalcos municipality and the Coatzacoalcos River, and to the north by the Gulf of Mexico. It produces maize, rice and beans.

German night fighter direction vessel Togo

Launched in 1938, the MS Togo was a German merchant ship. At the outbreak of World War II in early September 1939, she was in the French port of Douala in Africa, but avoiding internment and running the Allied blockade, she successfully returned to Hamburg.

La Venta

This article is about the archeological site in Mexico. For the fossil site in Colombia, see La Venta (Colombia). La Venta is a pre-Columbian archaeological site of the Olmec civilization located in the present-day Mexican state of Tabasco. Dr. Alexander von Wuthenau was instrumental in investigating the terra cotta figurines and other artifacts related to the site. Some of the artifacts have been moved to the museum "Parque - Museo de La Venta", which is in Villahermosa, the capital of Tabasco.
