Zuunmod

Zuunmod is the center of Mongolia's Central Province (Töv aimag), located 45 km south of Ulan Bator. It has a population of 14,660 (2006) inhabitants and an area of 19.18 square kilometres. Zuunmod is located at the southern side of Bogd Khan Uul, 43 km from the capital Ulaanbaatar. Zuunmod was established as the center of Töv aimag in 1942. Until that time, the administration of the aimag had been located in Ulaanbaatar.

Manjusri Monastery

Manjusri Monastery (Mongolian: Манзушри Хийд, Manzushir Khiid; alternately translated as Manzushir) is a former Buddhist monastery established in 1733 and destroyed by Mongolian communists in 1937. Its ruins are located approximately 15 kilometers (as the crow flies, 43 kilometers by car) south of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar on the south slope of Bogd Khan Uul mountain.

Zaisan Memorial

The Zaisan Memorial is a memorial south of the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar that honors Soviet soldiers killed in World War II. Located on a hill south of the city, the memorial features a circular memorial painting that depicts scenes of friendship between the peoples of the USSR and Mongolia.

Mongolian State University of Agriculture

Mongolian State University of Agriculture (MSUA) is a national university of Mongolia, with the main branch situated in the capital of Ulan Bator. It lies in the southern part of the city in the Khoroo 11 district on the southern side of the Tuul River, just to the northwest of the Zaisan Memorial and the American School of Ulan Bator.
