Kasikili

Kasikili Island, or Sedudu Island {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:17|49|S|25|8|E|type:isle|| |primary |name= }}, is an island in the Chobe River on the border between Namibia and Botswana, near the Botswana town of Kasane. It was the subject of a territorial dispute between these countries, resolved by a 1999 decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which ruled in favour of Botswana. Kasikili is the Namibian name, Sedudu the Botswana name for the island.

Kasane Airport

Kasane Airport is an airport in Kasane, Botswana. The airport is located approximately 7 km southeast of the town along the Kisane–Kachikau Road. Air Botswana provides scheduled service between Kasane and Gaborone on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Numerous charter flight operators offer flights to other destinations in the vicinity. Due to its location near Chobe National Park the airport is mainly used for tourism. Most lodges in the Kasane area provide shuttles from and to the airport.

Impalila

Impalila (sometimes spelt Mpalila) is an island at the far eastern tip of Namibia, bounded on the north by the waters of the Zambezi river and on the south by the Chobe River. It is home to some 300 people in 25 small villages, including Tswanas and Subia people. Impalila is usually accessed from Kasane in Botswana, on the other bank of the Chobe River. There is a Namibian customs and immigration post on the island.

Kazungula, Zambia

Kazungula is a small border town in the Southern Province of Zambia, lying on the north bank of the Zambezi River about 70 km west of Livingstone, at an almost quadripoint where four countries nearly meet. It is home to the Kazungula Ferry across the 400 m wide river to Kazungula in Botswana, 8 km east of the town of Kasane, one of the largest ferries in the region with a capacity of 70 tonnes. A bridge is planned to replace it.
