Korea

Outpost Harry

Outpost Harry was a remote Korean War station located on a tiny hilltop in what was commonly referred to as the "Iron Triangle" on the Korean Peninsula. This was an area approximately 60 miles (100 km) north of Seoul and was the most direct route to the South Korean capital. More than 88,000 rounds of Chinese artillery fell on Outpost Harry. Since the outpost was defended each night by only a single company of American or Greek soldiers, the Chinese had anticipated an easy capture.

Battle of Hill Eerie

The Battle of Hill Eerie refers to several Korean War engagements between the United Nations forces and the Chinese Communist Forces (CCF) in 1952 at the infamous Hill Eerie. Hill Eerie was a military outpost at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|15|12|N|127|3|8|E| | |name= }}, about ten miles west of the rubble piles of Ch'orwon. It was taken several times by both sides; each sabotaging the others' position.

Broken Arrow (Korea)

Broken Arrow was the name popularly given to Hill 391 in the south of North Korea, between the South Korean city of Chorwon and Pyonggang in North Korea. Its correct name was Haktang-ni, but on account of its perceived similarity with an Arrow head, it was nickamed by US troops in the area "Broken Arrow".
