Western Norway Emigration Center

Western Norway Emigration Center is a Norwegian American museum located at Sletta on the island of Radøy in Hordaland, Norway, in honour of the Norwegians who emigrated to the United States and Canada. The museum consists of six historical buildings, which were all built by Norwegian emigrants in the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, and removed from Minnesota and North Dakota to Norway.

Hjeltefjorden

Hjeltefjorden is a fjord in Hordaland in Norway. Its name is derived from Hjaltland, the Old Norse name for Shetland - the routes to Shetland ran through Hjeltefjorden. It is a major route into Bergen, and runs from Fedje in the north to Byfjorden in the south. It is delimited to the west by the Øygarden and Sotra fjords and to the east by fjords including those of Radøy, Holsnøy, Herdla and Askøy. It was the site of the closing stages of the Battle of Alvøen.

Toska

Toska is an island in Radøy municipality in Hordaland county, Norway, west of the island of Radøy. A road connection to Toska was completed in 1989, and the island is a popular holiday destination. The island Toska has about 40 inhabitants. There are still a few farmers left on the island, but most work in other professions, many commute to neighboring communities and Bergen. The main port on Toska is Vestevågen.
