Mongstad

Mongstad is an industrial site located in the municipalities of Lindås and Austrheim in Hordaland, Norway. The site features an oil refinery for Statoil and other oil companies, including Shell. At Mongstad, Statoil has a crude oil terminal with a capacity of 9.5 million barrels . The port at Mongstad is the largest in Norway, measured in tonnage. The refinery at Mongstad is modern, and has been extensively upgraded, with a capacity of 12 million tonnes crude oil per year.

Austfjorden (Hordaland)

Austfjorden is a fjord in the south of Masfjorden in Hordaland, Norway. It has a length of about 20 kilometres and extends south-east. On the north side of the east area there are several deep bays. The first of these is the 2-kilometre long Mjangersvågen with Mjanger the bottom. The next two are Nordkvingevågen harbor into Nordkvingo and Sørekvingevågen harbor into Sørkvingo. Between these two lies the cape Melshovden.

Western Norway Emigration Center

Western Norway Emigration Center is a Norwegian American museum located at Sletta on the island of Radøy in Hordaland, Norway, in honour of the Norwegians who emigrated to the United States and Canada. The museum consists of six historical buildings, which were all built by Norwegian emigrants in the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, and removed from Minnesota and North Dakota to Norway.
