Lokkaren Bridge

Lokkaren Bridge (Norwegian: Lokkarbrua or Lokkaren bru) is a suspension bridge that crosses the strait Lokkarsundet between the mainland in Namsos and the island of Otterøya in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located about 6 kilometres northwest of the town of Namsos. The 435-metre long bridge was opened on 2 December 1977.

Vemundvik Church

Vemundvik Church is a parish church in the municipality of Namsos in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vemundvik, just east of Ramsvika. The church is part of the Vemundvik parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church building was constructed in 1875 to seat about 300 people. The church was designed by architect Ole Olsen Scheistrøen.

Namsos Hospital is a local hospital located in Namsos, Norway. Owned and operated by Nord-Trøndelag Hospital Trust, part of the Central Norway Regional Health Authority, it serves the district of Namdalen in Nord-Trøndelag, as well as Osen and Bindal.

Namsos (town)

Namsos is a town in and the municipal center of Namsos, Norway As of 2011, it had a population of 9,537 and covers an area of 7.26 square kilometers . It is located where the river of Namsen flows into Namsenfjorden. Namsos received township in 1846. In 1940, the town was bombed in the Namsos Campaign. The town was the terminus of the Namsos Line and is served by Namsos Airport, Høknesøra. County Road 17 runs through the town, which is also the location of Namsos Hospital.

HMS Bittern (L07)

HMS Bittern was a Bittern class sloop of the Royal Navy. She was laid down on 27 August 1936 by J. Samuel White, of Cowes, Isle of Wight and launched on 14 July 1937. She served in Home waters and off the coast of Norway during the Second World War. She took part in the ill-fated Namsos Campaign of 1940, where she was used to defend allied troop ships entering and leaving Namsos harbour from submarine attacks.
