Jøa

Jøa is an island in the municipality of Fosnes in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 55.3-square-kilometre island lies on the south side of the Foldafjord between the mainland and the island of Otterøya. The island is partially forested with the southern part being flat and marshy and the northern part being more mountainous. The 297-metre tall Moldvikfjellet is the highest point on the island. The Norwegian writer Olav Duun was born in the village of Dun in the central part of the island.

Dun Church

Dun Church is a parish church in the municipality of Fosnes in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Dun on the island of Jøa. The church is part of the Fosnes parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church building was constructed in 1949 and it was consecrated on 24 July 1949 by the Bishop Arne Fjellbu. The building was designed by the architect Arne Sørvig, and it seats about 400 people.

Namsenfjorden

The Namsenfjorden or Namsfjorden is a fjord in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 35-kilometre long fjord flows along the border between the municipalities of Namsos, Namdalseid, and Flatanger. It runs southeast from the Folda, between the mainland in the south and the island of Otterøya in the north, past the island of Hoddøya, to the Namsen river estuary in the town of Namsos. The banks of the fjord are mostly wooded and not very high.

Fosnes Chapel is a chapel in the municipality of Fosnes in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located at Fosnesvågen, on the northeastern coast of the island of Jøa. The chapel is part of the Fosnes parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros.

Otterøy Church

Otterøy Church is a parish church in the municipality of Namsos in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Skomsvoll on the island of Otterøya. The church is part of the Otterøy parish in the Namdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros. The octagonal wood church building was constructed in 1858 and seats about 350 people. The church was designed by architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. It was built in a Stave church style.
